MRS. EDNA MAE MIXON

MRS. EDNA MAE MIXON {71} daughter of the late George Washington Scott and Thelma Scott was born September 12, 1946 in Florence, SC. She departed this life at age seventy-one {71} on November 80, 2017 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Edna Mae attended Wilson Senior High School Class of 1964. She was a member of Shekiah Community Deliverance Church where she was the National Mother of the Covenant Church. Mother Edna Mae was a dedicated Christian and attended church faithfully until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Mixon; son, Levan Brockington; granddaughter, Apricia Brockington; great-granddaughter, Destiny Brockington; brother, Reginald “Pat” Scott; and sister, Eugenia “Shirley” Vereen. Edna Mae leaves to cherish her memory three {3} daughters: Shirl Brockington and Sharon {Casey} Brockington of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Kimberly {Matthew} Gooden of Columbia, SC; two {2} sons: Douglas {Viola} Carr of Conway, SC and Komonick Sinclair of Myrtle Beach, SC, six {6} sisters: Louise Wilson of Conway, SC, Rosemary Grant of Augusta, GA, Ereatha “Patrica” Sinclair, Debra Knox, Gloria Jean Scott and Betty Jean {Theotis} Fulton of Myrtle Beach, SC; eight {8} grandchildren: Miko Brockington, Dashawn Brockington, Dalvin Brockington, Ebony Spivey and Jamarius Brockington of Myrtle Beach, SC, Chantel Brockington, Alandria Haynes and Marcel Haynes of Columbia, SC; seven {7} great-grandchildren: Kylic Johnson, Isiah Huggins, Ari Brockington, Kai Brockington, Semaj Campbell, Zurri Hopkins and Yassir Hopkins. A host ofspecial nieces and nephews. One {1} special friend, Peggy Frankly. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one {1} hour prior to Funeral Services. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Chapel.
