MR. DAMIEN JULIUS SINGLETON, {26} of Racepath Community passed Monday, September 21, 2015. “Dada” as he was affectionately known was the son of Tammie Singleton~Barnes and the late Ulysees Chestnut. He was born November 03, 1988 and and was educated in the Horry County School District. Damien was a star athlete on both Myrtle Beach High School Football and Basketball teams. He later moved to Charlotte, NC where he attended Central Community College. Damien was known for his warm and bright smile and his love for music; as well as, his caring and devoted love for his family. His precious memories will be cherished by his mother, Tammie Singleton (Robert) Barnes; two {2} sisters, Tamesha (Kevin) Ludley and Tiara Kinloch; two {2} brothers, Ulysees (Shenequa) Singleton and Daquan Brown; two {2} nephews, Kevin and Karter Ludley; one {1} niece, Aubri Singleton; five {5} cousins he shared a sibling bond, Keisha Galloway, Kimberly (Torry) Thompson, Trello Galloway, Alexis Galloway and Brittany Galloway; two {2} aunts, Vanessa Singleton, Marilyn Hines; one {1} special aunt, Rodell (William) Galloway; two {2} uncles, Roy (Patricia) Chestnut and Harold (Evelyn) Chestnut; one {1} grand~uncle, Emmanuel (Aletnia) Manigult; one {1} one grand~aunt, Rosalee Owen;. two {2} special friends, Carrie Wallace and Justin Finkley and a host other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. MISS TRINA PATRICIA ANN SUMPTER, {49} of Myrtle Beach, SC was born on November 04, 1965 to the late Nathaniel Sumpter Sr. and Eleanor White~Sumpter. She entered into enteral rest on Friday August 28, 2015.
She was educated in the Horry County Public Schools and graduated from Myrtle Beach High School with the Class of 1985. She played basketball for the Myrtle Beach High Seahawks from 1982-1985. She worked at various franchises including Dairy Queen and Taco Bell. Trina’s door was open to anyone that needed a place to stay. She loved life and wore a beautiful smile. Trina was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Trina was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Levon, Roger, James, Garry and her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Sumpter. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughters, Katrina (Mantayius) Blackmon and Quendasha Gary (Montrell) Mention; her grandchildren, Jazziya Bessent, Jaquon Sumpter, Zaniya. Zariyah and Zayvion Blackmon; her loving brothers, Nathaniel (Joyce) Sumpter Jr., Ronald (Olivia) Sumpter, and Antonio (Deborah) Sumpter; her sister-in-laws, Constance, Angela and Lorna Sumpter; her aunt, Helen Williams; her uncles, Matthew, Larry and Lavern Sumpter and devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and more too numerous to name whom she loved dearly. The Bessellieu, White, and Grate families; special friends, Juliette Chestnut, Florabell Pickett, Sheryl Goings, Renee Goings, Lorraine McNeil, Dione Johnson, and Tammy Pyatt. The Sumpter family would like to thank the doctor and nurses at DaVita Dialysis Center of Myrtle Beach and the residents of Carver Apartments. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 02, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. MR. RICHARD “CLAY” COLLIER,{62} was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Steve and Elizabeth Collier of Calhoun County. He was born February 17, 1953 and called home on August 11, 2015 at Conway Medical Center. He attended Horry County Schools and graduated from Conway High School. Richard enjoyed taking care of his family and detailing cars. Richard worked at AVX Corporation for forty~one {41} years. His tenure at AVX Corporation was from August 03, 1972 until January 2012. He had a heart of gold and smiled continuously. He will truly be missed by the elderly he loved helping and by all those who knew him. He leaves to mourn a loving wife of thirty-nine years, Mattie F. Collier; a son, Norman S. Collier; a daughter, April S. Collier; one {1} brother, Joseph Montgomery of Myrtle Beach, SC; one {1} brother~in~law, Norman Jackson (Dorothy) of Virginia; two {2} sister~in~laws, Charlese Alston (Bruce) and Mary Anne Washington (Richard) of Conway, SC; two {2} step~brothers, Rev. Kenneth Floyd (Annie Mae) and Brusta Floyd of Conway, SC. He also leaves his loving grandchildren Asia Collier, Unique Burroughs, Richmond Collier and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Friday, August 14, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
