MR. GARY OWENS

MR. GARY OWENS, {44} Our beloved Brother answered the Masters call on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Conway Medical Center in Conway, SC. “GARY” was born January 07, 1972 at Conway Hospital in Conway, SC. He was the fifth {5th} child born to Mr. Gene and Mrs. Helen Owens. He received his education in the Horry County Public School System. He was a past employee of Builders First Source for five {5} years and at Sand Dunes Resort for three {3} years as a Houseman. He was currently employed at Santee Cooper for eight {8} years and eight {8} months. “GARY” enjoyed his family, riding his motorcycle and driving his MUSTANG. Those left to cherish his memories include three {3} daughters, Taquila Owens, Yakira Owens and Zanaisa Owens; three {3} sons, Markel Owens, Damonique Owens and Reakwon Owens; three {3} sisters, Kim {Ulysses} Owens, Pam {Locksley} Denny and Tameka Spain; three {3} brothers, Michael Owens, Clinton Owens and Alton {Toya} Hemingway; two {2} grandchildren, Serenity Owens and Jeremyah Owens; one {1} special cousin, William {Pat} Moses; two {2} special friends, Lamont Williams and Franklin {Poochis} Jeffery and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2016 at Browns Chapel AME Church in the Bucksville Community. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Grainger Road Conway, SC. MR. DAVID J. “PHILLIP” BARR II

MR. DAVID J. “PHILLIP” BARR II, {69} was a twenty {20} year Mason of McKenith Lodge 78th of North Myrtle Beach, SC. He departed this earthly life on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born on September 21, 1947 in Georgetown, SC to the late Mr. David and Mrs. Lila Mae Barr. He attended Myrtle Beach public schools. In 1966, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Geraldine Campbell~Barr. “Phillip” was considered a jack of all trades. However, he was a professional Plumber at Causey Plumbing for over fifteen {15} years. He also was a devoted father and grandfather who loved to take pictures of everyone and everything at invited or uninvited events. He helped his brother, Mr. Rock Smith as a supervisor at his South Fort Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, SC. His two {2} sisters, Joyce Ann Barr and Mary Lou Veinue and one {1} brother, Frank O’Neal Barr preceded him in death. David leaves to cherish his memories five children, Phyllis Campbell, David {Pamela} Barr III, Mary Jane Roberts, Shynetra Connors and Tishiem Connors all of Myrtle Beach, SC; two {2} sisters, Davelene Campbell and Betty Little both of Myrtle Beach, SC; one {1} brother, Jimmy Barr of Myrtle Beach, SC; nine {9} grandchildren, Ashley {Al}, Tonya, Keisha, Seantaria, Marquita, Sally, David IV, De’Ebony {Jay} and Tyrone all of Myrtle Beach, SC; nine {9} great~grands; a special uncle, Lectic Deas and aunt, Gloria Wilson of Washington, DC; two {2} very special friends, Mr. Clifford Keith and Mr. Clev Hemingway; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks and recognition to Mrs. Jennifer Summers {Nurse}. We appreciate and love you dearly. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 26, 2016 at Shields Chapel Fire Baptized Holiness Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services LLC.
