Troy James Vander Geathers

Troy Geathers passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. 

Mr. Troy James Vander Geathers, son of Walter James Geathers, Jr. and the late Joyce Lynnette Stover Geathers was born on April IS, I977 in Conway, South Carolina.

Troy received his early education and graduated from Life Christian Academy in I995.

Troy went on to further his education and career with an Associate Degree from Liberty University. He also received his Bachelor's Certification from Denmark Technical College.

He was a member of Life Outreach Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Troy leaves a legacy of love and devotion to God, his sons, TroVarr Savion Woddell Geathers and Vander Nasir Geathers (fiance, Heather Space and children), his three dynamic sisters, Trina (James) Jenkins, Twanna (Marcus) Jenkins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Kimberly (Clarence) Simmons of Greensboro, North Carolina; his god-children, LeAjah Favorite and LeTravius Favorite. Troy was a great loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, Brianna Jenkins, Breshauna Jenkins, Jocelynn Jenkins, Samuel Jenkins, JaVon Jenkins, and the late Brandon Ward.

Troy has always been surrounded by love and devotion from his aunts, uncles, cousins, co­workers, and associates. He has a multitude of friends and acquaintances; just to name a few, Jewel Wilson, Kevin Jenkins, Antwan Davis, Darnell Breeland, Bob Cumbee, Hanson Chestnut, DeAngelo Gause, and Quinton Pressley.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Mt. Olive AME Church.  Interment will follow in Pine Island Community Cemetery.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
