MS. PATRICIA Ç. WASHINGTON

MS. PATRICIA C. WASHINGTON, {65} was born February 5, 1953 in Marion County, SC and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Grand Strand Regional Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Patricia’s parents were the late Lanneau and Eleanor Graves. She was raised by her grandparents the late Blossie Clander Crawford, Sr until she became a teenager in Raines, SC an then moved with her parents in Myrtle Beach, SC. She attended and graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1971 and continued her education at Vorhees College in Denmark, SC with a concentration in tailoring. After college, Patricia married the late Elijah Washington which later ended.

Patricia later met Percell Graham and was blessed with a son, Drayton. She always taught Drayton the power of the Word of God, and Power of Prayer, as well as the importance of a good work ethic. She led by example.

Patricia worked at D’Antonio’s, AVX, and as a Home Health Care Companion in Myrtle Beach, SC until her health began to decline. She was a member of Mt. Olive AME Church where she enjoyed singing on the choir. She later joined True Deliverance Church where she continued to sing on the choir. She continued worshipping at True Deliverance until her health declined. She continued to share the Word of God with others when they visited or called. Her favorite parting words were ” giving God the highest praise.”

Patricia leaves to cherish her memories her son Drayton Washington of the home {who faithfully and diligently cared for her}; one {1} brother, Weston {Linda} Graves of Martinez, Ga; three {3} sisters, Bettie {Johnnie} Pernell of Mullins, SC, Lynn Dell Bellamy of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jennifer (Tony} Fairwell of Conway, SC; seven {7} aunt’s, Doris C. Brown of Camden, NJ, Marie C. Brantley of Philadelphia, PA, Ella Mae Horton of Wilmington, NC, Sherby C. {Willie} Eaddy of Wilmington, NC, Norma C. {Sammie} Burwick of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joyce Crawford of Ashville, NC, Mary Crawford of Rains, SC, Romelle Graves of Mullins, SC, Barbara {John} Butler of Hartford, CT; one {1} uncle, Ernest Graves of Mullins, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a special best friend since high school, Dorothy Butler.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Mt. Olive AME Church. Visitation will be held one {1} hour prior to services. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
