MRS. PEGGY ANN FAIRWELL-BROCKINGTON, {68} “To everything there is a season, time, and a purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

“PEGGY ANN” was daughter of the late Mary Ellen Fairwell and late Evelyn David Fairwell was born on December 29, 1949 in Lakeview, SC. God called Peggy Ann home on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 and took her to eternal rest. Peggy Ann was educated in Horry County Public Schools and later obtained a degree in Culinary Arts from Horry-Georgetown Technical College.

She found a church home at Greater St. James AME Church. 

Peggy Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a fun-loving, kind-hearted person. She had a great passion for helping others, especially the elderly. She assisted family members with taking care of her mother. In addition to having a passion for helping others, Peggy Ann also had a love for taking pictures. She loved for others to capture her beautiful smile. 

Peggy Ann relocated to Newark, NJ and Washington, DC at an early age, where she lived for many years. Upon her return to South Carolina, she became a certified nursing assistant until her demise. 

Peggy Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evelyn Fairwell; one {1} son, George Gary Fairwell; one step-grandson, Joshua Bellamy; two {2} sisters, Norma Sanders and Queen Fairwell-Jackson; and one {1} brother, Frank Sanders. 

Peggy Ann leaves a legacy of love and memories two {2} grandsons, Joshua Bellamy and Gary Trevon Fairwell; four {4} brothers, Harold {Bernice}Fairwell, Evelyn Fairwell, Jr., Earnest Fairwell, and Tony {Jennifer} Fairwell; one {1} sister, Princess Diane {Donald} Hudson of Conway, SC; one {1} brother-in-law, Charles Jackson of Washington, DC; one {1} sister-in-law, Luenette Sanders; one {1} adopter brother, Rick Harris of NC; three {3} aunts, Mildred Bowman of Sumter, SC, Rose Lee Brown of Norfolk, VA, and Bobbie Fairwell of Columbus, GA; two {2} goddaughters, LaShauna Baker and Peggy Hasty and a host of nieces, nephews, sorrowful relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Greater St. James AME Church.  Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
