I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Lula Bell Stanley Lewis was born on November 16th, 1929 in Green Sea, South Carolina to John Lester Stanley and Alberta Johnson Stanley.  She Transitioned to take her eternal rest on July 20th, 2019.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents, two (2) brothers, five (5) sisters and two (2) grandchildren.

Lula was married to the late Reverend William Stanley Lewis Jr. She was a dedicated servant of her Lord Christ Jesus and she mostly enjoyed being around her family and close friends.

Lula’s legacy will continue to live on through her family. Left behind to cherish precious memories are six (6) children: Nona Faye Grant (Little River, SC), Joyce Lewis Glover (Edward) (Myrtle Beach, SC), William Lewis Ill (Myrtle Beach, SC), Judy Lewis Moore (Myrtle Beach, SC), Leona Lewis Powell (William) (Powder Springs, GA), Loretta Lewis (Lithonia, GA). Sixteen (16) Grand Children: Jimelle, Shawn, Santana, Rodney, Cherimane, Kenya, Dana, Jaylin, LaKeshia, Kamesha, Ellarode, Davon, Tonderick, Leah and JaKobe.  Thirty Six (36) Great Grand Children and Six (6) Great, Great Grand Children.  Siblings: Sisters —Joan Douglas, Sandra Grate. Sister in Laws – Helen Lewis Williams, Benzena Lewis, Elizabeth Lewis, Beverly Evans and Maurine Arnold Lewis. Brother in Laws – Reverend Robert David Lewis (Lita), Charles Cleveland Lewis and Bishop John Morgan Lewis (Ernestine).

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2019 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Ocean View Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach Chapel.

  • God has Blessed Mother Lula Lewis to be on the Earth for 89 years. She Kept the the Faith, Fought the Fight, and Stay on
    the Battlefield for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, even though she wasn’t fast in her striding near the end, she kept Pressing On
    and Now, She is Resting in Peace, Waiting to receive her Crown. You will be Deeply Missed, We have known you all of our Life. Our
