MR. HENRY BROWN, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.” Psalm 46: 1-2

Henry Brown, {96} years of age, passed peacefully on the late evening of Wednesday, April 10th at Embrace Hospice House where he spent the last seven {7} months and was known as the Mayor, he never met a stranger and was loved by everyone during his time there.

Henry was born on December 25, 1922 in Murrells Inlet, SC to his late parents. He was the oldest sibling of three {3} brothers, Ben, Robert, & Simon Brown and one {1} sister, Adelle Brown all preceded him to his passing.

Henry was joined in marriage to the late Bernice Brown on April 29th, 1944. They were blessed with a son, Levon Brown that preceded him to his passing.

Henry was an Army Veteran and was a proud and active member of St. James United Methodist Church until he became ill.

Left to cherish Henry’s memory is his granddaughter, LaToya Sinclair; his great-grandson, Jaheim Sinclair of Burgess, SC; two {2} sisters-in law, Betty Holmes of Surfside Beach, SC and Ethel Mae Pompey of Troy, NY; Ernest “Earl” Everett of Philadelphia, PA who was raised like a son from an early age. A special extended family member, Lou Springs Smith and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and friends that loved him dearly.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2019 at St. James United Methodist Church.  Viewing will be held one {1} hour prior to Services. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
