  • He and I were raised like brothers. I was called Key and he was called Pete Snow. You see Peter was a name given to both he and I by our Grand Father Spivey Dewitt. As I write this message my eyes are filling with tears. God knows best, therefore who are we to question why. The scripture says at James 1:6 we should never doubt GOD. Even though I know this to be true the pain is overwhelming. Please, keep my Aunt Marva Dean, Uncle Don, and Peter’s boys in your prayers. I spoke to him a couple months ago as well another beloved cousin of mine. There we were ( Pete Snow, Key, and Tiny (pronounced Teenee) leg baby) remembering Grandma Maggie. The Irony of it is before Uncle Don and Aunt Marva had Peter, they spent a lot of time with me and Angela (Dewitt) Bethea of Baltimore, Maryland. God only knew we would be losing him this early. I love you all (Family and Friends of Conway, SC and beyond) so much and will never take you for granted. If I could give Pete the a message I would say rest well “little brother” until we see you again. Leon Grissett aka: Key, Squeaky and Peter # 1.
