MOTHER MANDER GRISSETT

MOTHER MANDER GRISSETT, {102} Our beloved, Mother Mander Grissett answered the voice that she alone could hear when God whispered, “Servant of God, Well Done, Come and Take Your Rest” on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Conway Medical Center.

Mother Mander was born on August 27, 1916 to the late Joe and Alice Sissy Jordan of Myrtle Beach, SC.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Dozier Grissett; one {1} daughter, Betty Jane Williams; two {2} sons, Frank Grissett and Tommy David Grissett.

Mother Mander attended Horry County Schools and later became a Minister of the Gospel.  She was the Founder and Pastor of Mt. Carmel Holiness Church of Pine Island in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Because of her Christian morals and dedication to the Lord, she was known and loved in the community by everyone for her caring ways and tender love for others.

Mother Mander leaves to cherish precious memories five {5} daughters, Mary {Earl} King, Fannie Jackson, Phyllis Gardner, Margaret {Clio} Williams all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Doris {Clayton} Williams of Columbia, SC; six {6} sons, Fred Grissett, Harry Grissett, Charlie {Carrie} Grissett, Joe H. Grissett, Carroll {Odessar} Grissett all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Cleveland {Loretta} Grissett of Greenville, SC; four {4} daughters-in-law; three {3} sons-in-law; sixty-one {61} grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends that will always remember and cherish their time together.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019 at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.  Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
