REVEREND SARAH MASON COKER  On Thursday, June 19, 2008 Reverend Sarah Mason Coker, faithful servant of God, was called from labor to reward at 9:08 AM at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Her life and works have added another page in the ledger of Pentecostal Holiness.
 
Mother Coker was an inspiration to all she met and was instrumental in leading many Souls to Christ. She was a loving and devoted wife, and a sweet, loving, kind and understanding mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
 
Last Thursday, God gave her His Divine Citation - "Well Done Coker, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things, enter thou into the joys of thy Lord." Her silent good-bye was: "Count on me for service O! My Savior faithful I have been; I have fought with all my might, you can count on me!"
 
Reverend Sarah Mason Coker, better known as Mother Coker, was the daughter of the late Mr. Albert and Mrs.Josephine Mason. She was born August 4, 1929 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
 
Her early education was obtained at Carver Elementary School. She later furthered her education by becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant, Cake Decorator, and recieving a degree in Early Childhood Education in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
 
She was blessed with one son, the late Reverend Andrew L. Mason, Sr. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. James L. Coker on May 10, 1946. To this union two sons were adopted, Reverend Anthony Wallace and the late Mr. Raynard T. Wallace, each of whom was dedicated to the Lord upon arrival.
 
Mother Coker was Saved, Sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire at Shields Chapel and joined the Fire-Baptized Holiness Church of God of America in 1949. During her life of service for the Lord,, Mother Coker yielded to the call of Ministry upon her life. Preaching, "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand; for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life." Her testimony was, "today you find me Saved and on Victory Side, Santified Holy, filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire, and I praise Him today. Thank Him for Fire in flesh, Victory over self and Mind to live right." Mother Coker not only procliamed salvation, she lived it. As a dedicated and faithful church worker for the past forty-nine (49) years, she served as Church Secretary, Church Mother, Finance Board Member, Sunday School Secretary, Kitchen Committee President, Senior Missionary Department President, and Benevelent and Sick Committee President.
 
She leaves to cherish her loving and lasting memories: a loving husband, Mr. James L. Coker, a son, Reverend Anthony (Linda) Wallace, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vertie W. Mason, eight (8) grandchildren; Mardenia (Robert) Steele, Latay Brown, Elder Andrew L. Mason, Jr., Jermiah Mason, Tony Wallace, Laureal Wallace, and Carrie Wallace all of Myrtle Beach, SC; Chanel Wallace of Texas; ten (10) great-grandchildren; four (4) great-great-grandchildren; A best friend whom she loved dearly, Ms. Gwendlyn Simmons; A God-Daughter, Minister Josephine Ludley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to include Shields Chapel Fire Baptized Holiness Church Family whose lives are better because she lived.
 
A Glorious Celebration of Life will begin Sunday evening, June 22, 2008 at 7:30 at Shields Chapel Fire Baptized Holiness Church. The Homegoing Celebration will conclude Monday, June 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Shields Chapel Fire Baptized Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Pine Island Community Cemetery. The Elder Dr. R. J.. Shackleford I and Pastor C. Dianne Williams will officiate for these services. Services entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home of Horry County.

JOHN ROLAND WRIGHT, (52) died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
 
Mr. Wright served his Country in the United States Navy and received the National Defense
Service Medallion . He retired with a honorable discharge in 1974.
 
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Mrs. Lanora Wright; one sister, Clara
McClendon and his fiance', Stacy Mann.

EBBIE WOODBURY, JR, (54) son of the late Ebbie Woodbury, Sr. and Mattie Woodbury was born March 8, 1954. He was the second oldest of six children. His sister Doris and brother Willie Woodbury preceded him in death.
 
He attended the public schools of Georgetown County. He was employed by Heyward Manufacture Inc. for three (3) years and Harry's Breakfast Pancake for seventeen (17) years. Ebbie was known by all as a loving brother, father, uncle and friend. He knew death surely would come, therefore he joined Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
 
He leaves to cherish his loving memories one daughter, Keya Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Pearlie Mae Sherman of Bucksport, SC and Cindy Woodbury of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother, John Woodbury of Bucksport, SC; one nephew Willie Woodbury of Georgetown, SC; three nieces, Lakeyer Sherman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Charlene Sherman of Conway, SC and Brianna Woodbury of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
Visitation will be Friday evening June 13, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 in the Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be 4:00 Saturday, June 14, 2008 in the Ocean View Memorial Chapel. The Rev. MARCO DENNORIS BOOTH, (38) was born January 10, 1970 in Conway, SC to the late Sylvia G. Wallingford and Willie Greg. He received his early education in the public schools of Horry County. At an early age, Marco confessed Christ as his Savior.
 
On June 1, 2008 while in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center God called Marco from his earthly home to his heavenly home to rest. Marco was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Wallingford and his sister, Sonya Booth-Lucas.
 
He leaves to cherish fond memories one brother, Thaddues Booth of Columbia, SC and two sisters, Adderienna Booth-Martin of Columbia, SC and Eugenia Booth of Conway, SC; one uncle, Charles H. (Melvonia) Wallingford of Conway, SC and three aunts, Bernice (Harold) Fairwell, Bonnie Carol (Rudy) Tunor both of Conway, SC and Bonnie E. (Randy) Jenkins of jacksonsville, FL; one great-aunt, Coreen Richardson, twelve nieces, four nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

WALTER ROBERT LOCKHART, (68) was born in Manhattan, New York. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Presbyterian Medical Center.
Walter was a very humerous person with a loving heart. He was always ready and willing to aid anyone in need. He attended Rose Prep High Schooland after marriage he graduated RCH Institute For Electronic Engineering.
 
He was a hard worker and loved helping his wife build a stable foundation to house others in need of shelter or a home. He also knew there was truth in learning of Jehovah.
His loving memories will be cherished by his devoted wife, Mrs Ella Reen Lockhart; his children, Walter Lockhart and David Lee Morris; his sister, Valerie W. Gibbs and a host of extended family and friends.
 
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM in the Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Ocean View Memorial Chapel. ALBERT JERMONE CAMPBELL, JR.,(54) son of the late Bessie Mae and Albert Campbell, Sr., was born on May 17, 1953 in Myrtle Beach, SC. He departed this life Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center.
 
"Boleg" as he was affectionately known, graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1971 and was a bus driver for the Horry County School District. He later became a police officer with the Myrtle Beach Police Department. However, most remember Boleg as a licensed auto mechanic, and he worked with Holcomb Motors Inc. for many years.
 
In his earlier years, he attended Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In 1976, he married Sandra Gore; this union produced one daughter, Latoya. He later made Bronx, NY his home.
 
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother: Flora Mae jackson, Geraldine (David) Barr, Katie Mae and Haorld Campbell.
 
To cherish his loving memories, he leaves a loving daughter, Latoya Campbell of Atlanta, GA and a son, Alton Campbell of New Haven, CT; eight sisters: Louise (Frank) Grissett, Annie Mae Campbell, Lucille Hemingway, Edell (Samuel Lee) Cooper, Patricia Walker, Teresa Dancer, Othella and Ceila Campbell; six brothers: James (Tamela) Campbell, Charles (Thomasina) Campbell, Leroy, Jessie, William, and Paul Campbell; five aunts, two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

MRS. MARIE ANN BROCKINGTON WATTS,(75) daughter of the late Mr. Orey Brockington and Mrs. Ellen Briggs Brockington was born October 3, 1932. She was the oldest of three siblings. One preceded her in death, Orey Brockington, Jr. She attended public schools in Florence County. She was employed by the Yachtsman Hotel for twenty years. "Rea" as she was known by all was a very loving sister, wife, mother, and friend. Knowing that this day would surely come, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was joined in holy wedlock to Mr. John Alford Watts, Sr. on October 18, 1948. To this union ten children were born, two preceded her in death; John Alford Watts, Jr., and Michael Aaron Watts.
 
She leaves to cherish her loving memories four sons, James N. (Sandra) Brockington of Florence, SC, Gerald (Gerogia) Watts, Robert Allen Watts and James R. Watts all of Myrtle Beach, SC; five daughters, Mary (Cleve) Meyers, Deborah E. Watts, Debbie Y. Watts, Marie E. Watts, Cheryl (Miguel) Etheridge all of Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister, Margaret (George) Wills of Brooklyn, NY; one brother-in-law, George W. (Rev. Vanessa) Watts; two very special sons, Lloyd C. Kendle, Jr., and James Chestnut; one nephew, George Wills, Jr., and one niece, Tisha Rosalind Wills, thirty-one grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren, one grand niece, two grand nephews, two niece-in-laws, Virginia Small and Shelia Coleman, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

DEBORAH JEAN WILLIAMS, (47) was born November 26, 1960 in Loris, SC. She was the only child of Joe Louis and Betty Jean Williams. She departed this life on May 2, 2008 at Conway Medical Center. She was a loving and kind person to all who knew her.
 
Deborah leaves to cherish her life three children, Tracey Renay Williams, Cynthia Jean Williams and Joe Louis Williams; ten grandchildren, Curtis Demont Williams, Erica Renay Douglas, Victoria LaShay Douglas, Shantae Dyshekia Douglas, Tymeka Malika Singleton, Latisha Michelle Singleton - all of the home; Antoine Johnson, Tara Michelle Nichols, Jaylin Nichols, Seneca Jay Nichols and a host of other relatives and friends who will all miss her dearly.
 
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Flag Patch Apostolic Holiness Church. Funeral Services will begin immediately following at 3:00 PM at the church. HARRY EUGENE CUTTINO, JR., (64) son of Mrs. Florrie Cuttino and the late Mr. Harry Cuttino Sr. was born December 8, 1943. He departed this life on Friday, April 25, 2008.

He attended the Public Schools of Myrtle Beach and was a member of the Class of 1961 at Whittemore High School. Harry grew up attending St Mary Missionary Baptist Church. Recently, he attended services there and enjoyed sharing the messages with others.

Harry began working at a very early age which lasted a lifetime. He was employed at the Myrtle Beach Hilton for thirty-three years as a Waiter. He really enjoyed his work and was often known for his "willingness" to help others.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Mrs. Florrie Cuttino; two daughters, Tessa Berry of Philadelphia, PA and Colisha (Arthur) Frasier of Bowie, MD; three sons, Samuel Cooper, Thaddeus Cooper, and Corey (Courtney) Cooper all of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren, Ashley Berry, Christann and Lauren Frasier, Shantel, Morris and Thaddeus Cooper, Jr.; one uncle, Samuel James of New York; two special friends, Sam Arnold Jr. and Ann Sessions of Myrtle Beach, SC and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

MARY MOORE MAZYCK, (67) was born on July 4, 1940 to the late Richard Knox, Sr. and Lillie Cogdell Knox of Burgess, SC (Murrells Inlet, SC). She fell asleep in death on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the age of 67.

She attended Horry County Public Schools and did well in Home Economics and English. She was a very talented Seamstress. Her favorite books of the Bible was Psalm 23rd and Revealation 21:3-4.

She was the youngest of three children, the late Paul knox, Sr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and the late Richard Knox, Jr. of Burgess, Sc; two sisters-in-law who preceded her in death Edna Holmes Knox and Sarah Brown Knox; two son-in-laws Evelyn Fairwell, Jr. and Romeo Sackar of Largo, MD and daughter-in-law Donna Mazyck of Edgewater Park, NJ.

She was married to Jack O. Mazyck for twenty-two years and out of that union six children were born, Connie Sackar of Largo, MD, Jacqua Fairwell (deceased) of Conway, SC, Marilyn Mazyck of Fredrick, MD, Valerie Mazyck of Florence, SC, Jack O. Mazyck, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Alvin Mazyck of Edgewater Park, NJ. She had seven grandchildren, Trinia, Romeo, Lauren, Aniya, Alexandria, Alvin, Jr., and Marcus (deceased) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all who will miss her dearly.

DEBRA ANN SUMPTER, (48) departed this life Wednesday, March 5, 2008. She was born December 10, 1959 to Thelma Moses and Arthur Walker.

Debra graduated from Conway High School in 1978. She attended Brown Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was united in holy matrimony to James Edward Sumpter, from this union six children were born. Her son , Jamie Sumpter preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband and parents; three daughters LaQuantra "Boo-Boo" Moses, LaTonya "Ta-Ta" Moses and Tocarra "Randa" Sumpter; two sons Bryant Moses and Ryan Sumpter; one brother, Ronnie (Terrie) Moses; mother-in-law, Edith Sumpter; father-in-law, James Sumpter, Sr.; sister-in-law Edith (Mike) Robinson and two brothers-in-law Willie (Paula) Sumpter and Scotty Sumpter; nine grandchildren; four special grandchildren Ashiya, Ja'veon, JaQuaysia, and Anthony; three special daughters Tamika McCoy, Shayla Glover, and Denise Hunter and a host of other relatives and friends.

BILLY EARL "RONNIE" CHESTNUT, (54) of Myrtle Beach died Friday, February 22, 2008 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was born November 10, 1953 to the late Billy Earl King and Charles and Elizabeth Goings.

Billy graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1974. He began working at Compass Cove Resort (Formally Swamp Fox) until his death. He was an avid hunter and a member of various hunting clubs.

He was united in holy matrimony to Katherine Whittington in 1978, from this union three children were born.

EDNA HOLMES KNOX, (83) of the Burgess Community died Friday, February 22, 2008 at the McLeod Hospice House following an illness. She was born November 15, 1924 to the late David and Beulah Holmes of Burgess, SC.

Survivors include nine children, Paul (Ann), W. Knox, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC, Walker (Edyth) Knox of New Jersey, Robert (Connie) L. Knox of Conway, SC, David E. Knox of New Jersey, William (Deloris) H. Knox, Sr. of Darlington, SC, Mary K. Windley of Conway, SC, Olivia (J. Paxton) Pegues of Cheraw, SC, M. Keith (Tonya) Knox of Florida, M. Kenneth (Jane) Knox of Inman, SC.
