MRS. LORIE ANN WILKS~FRAZIER

MRS. LORIE ANN WILKS~FRAZIER, {52} daughter of the late Curtis “Pete” E. Wilks and Hazel “Alto” Wilks was born in Conway, SC on June 28, 1963. She was called to her eternal home on Thursday, July 02, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. At an early age, Lorie became a faithful member of Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church, in the Sandridge section of Conway, SC. Most recently, she became a member of Salem AME Church in Bucksport, SC. Lorie worked diligently within the church and the community. She loved working with and caring for people, especially the elderly. She also devoted many hours of her time working with children during Vacation Bible School and other church groups. Lorie was a graduate of Conway High School Class of 1981. Immediately following completion of High School, she married and relocated to Anchorage, AK. She attended the University of Alaska Anchorage and received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. During her stay in Alaska she was employed by the Credit Bureau of Alaska and Alaska National Bank. Upon returning home, following extensive travels with her husband in the United States Air Force, she was employed by SAFE Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC). She worked for HTC, which she loved dearly, for fourteen {14} years. She departed HTC in August 2014 following a lengthy illness, which forced her into retirement. She enjoyed many hobbies, including baking, interior decorating, her card ministry for the sick and shut-in, shopping, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by one {1} brother, Edward E. (Mary Helen) Wilks. Lorie’s memories will be cherished by her husband of thirty~four {34} years, Timothy Frazier; two {2} sons, Julian and Darius Frazier; two {2} step-sons, Marcus D. Horace of Dallas, TX and Dennis (Emily) Arensen of Lindenhurst, IL; two {2} granddaughters, Caaliyah and Jaisha Frazier-Orr; a brother, Pete (Ola) Wilks; two {2} sisters, Aletha (Ronald) Brown and Jacalyn (Terrance) Harding; three [3} others, raised as a brother, Robert “Bobby” (Emma Pearl) Steele, sisters, Delores Ann (Andy) Ruffin, Bessie Johnson, and Annie (Ernie) Hayes; one {1} aunt, Frankie (Waynard) Shreve; a special cousin, Ms. Mary Jo Baldwin; a loving mother-in-Law and friend, Ms. Gladys Frazier; one {1} uncle, Wardell Brantley and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM on Monday, July 06, 2015 at Salem AME Church. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday,July 07, 2015 at Salem AME Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Service, LLC.
