MR. WILLIAM ISAAC TERRY, III

MR. WILLIAM ISAAC TERRY, III also known as “CHRIS,”  was born in Biloxi, MI on September 04, 1956 to the late William Newell Terry and Lucille McClellan Terry. He spent his formative years in Tylertown, MS. Upon high school graduation, Terry moved to Myrtle Beach, SC where he enrolled and graduated from Horry~Georgetown Technical College, earning a certificate in welding. A noted Veteran, he proudly served in the United States Army for sixteen {16} years, most notably during the Desert Shield/Storm Gulf War. He served tours in Korea, Germany and several bases within the United States. During his military career, he was a highly decorated soldier, receiving numerous award, ribbons and commendations. Upon completion of his military service, Terry and his family returned to Myrtle Beach, SC, where he worked primarily as a transportation and logistics professional until health issues necessitated an early retirement. Terry married his love, Christena Edwards on November 09, 1978 and together they built a home and family while traveling the world. He always kept his family at the center of his life. He is father to five {5} daughters, KuQuanna, Hawanya, Sharon, Hanicia and HaQuasha whom he adored and cherished. He also loved his grandchildren dearly and many considered him a dedicated, devoted friend. Terry was an avid collector of music and enjoyed maintaining automobiles and fishing. Terry was a devoted follower of Christ and practiced his faith throughout his life. He joined the church at an early age and participated in the choir and as a trustee. His relocation to Myrtle Beach, SC did not hinder his devotion as he joined Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by two {2} sisters, Daisy Catherine Dowe and Rechelle Sheree Winfrey. On Thursday, October 27, 2016, God saw that he was getting tired and called him home to rest. He is survived by his loving wife, Christena Sandra Yvonne Edwards~Terry of thirty~eight {38} years; five {5} daughters, KuQuanna Myers of Chicago, IL, Doctors Hawanya {Corey} Amaker of Lexington, SC, Sharon {Frederick} Ford of Marion, SC, Hanicia Terry of Mesquite, TX and HaQuasha Terry of Columbia, SC. His Grandchildren, Xavier Salley, Briana Vereen, Jah’Rienna Davis, Jha’Myle Fling, Jacorey Davis and Hannah Amaker. His Siblings, Lillian Margaret {Clarence} Armstrong of Phoenix, AZ, Willard {Tanya}Terry of South Bend, IN, Cecil Terry of Conway, SC, Lisa {Leon} Lawrence of Hemingway, SC, Roselyn {Douglas} Cook of Conway, SC, Johnny {Martha} Walker of Killen, TX and Percy Walker of Brookhaven, MS, Nicholette {Bobby} Hemingway of Myrtle Beach, SC and Anthony Armstrong of Phoenix, AZ. His In~Laws, Patricia {Lewis} Grate of Pawleys Island, SC, Marion {Louise} Sessions of Columbia, SC, Leona {Leo} McFadden and Jason {Wilhemenia} Livingston of Wampee, SC, Osie {George} Thompson of Columbia, SC, Maryland Edwards of Myrtle Beach, SC, George Bell Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC and George {Kelly} Edwards of Myrtle Beach, SC along with a host of other family members and beloved friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 02, 2016 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 03, 2016 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted Ocean View Funeral Home Cremation Services, LLC.
