MR. TOMMIE {TOM TOM} VAUGHT

MR. TOMMIE {TOM TOM} VAUGHT, {49} was born on July 29, 1966 in New York to the late Tommy Vaught, Sr. and the late Edna Blanchard~Vaught. He was reared by his grandmother, the late Mrs. Estella Vaught in Longs, SC. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Tommie was a Class of 1984 graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School and attended Morris College in Sumter, SC. He was employed with Horry County Schools as a bus driver and Conway Lighthouse as a caretaker. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a disciple at Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church. As a disciple at Chesterfield he served in the following ministeries; Ushers, Brotherhood, Transportation and Senior Missionary. Tommie delivered flyers, invitations or any other church communications. He also served as Vice~President of the Kingston Lake Association Brotherhood. He was a caregiver who loved people and his community. He was one who liked being in charge and running things, always busy seeing if any one needed help. His favorite saying was “If I could help somebody along the way, then my living shall not be in vain.” His favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, his two {2} sisters, Karen and Micheline. He leaves to cherish his memory two {2} brothers, Todd {Brenda} Vaught of Fayetteville, NC and Woody Graham of Longs, SC; four {4} sisters, Thomacine Smith of Longs, SC, Nicole {Ramond} Williams of Conway, SC, Contessa {Terence} Robinson of Dallas, GA and Jessie Dyson of Little River, SC; his stepmother, Texter Lee Vaught of Longs, SC; his grandmother, Pauline Blanchard of New York; four {4} aunts, Christine {Fred} Wigfall of Little River, SC, Crystal Blanchard and Valerie Blanchard, both of New York and Catherine Blanchard of Hartford, NC; two {2} uncles, Artis {Bessie} Vaught of Little River, SC and Ralph Vaught of Conway, SC; four {4} Godmothers, Margie Bellamy, Annie Bellamy, Vernia Vereen and Harriet {William} Dewitt; his caregiver, Erica Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Chesterfield Missionary Baptist Church. Viewing will be private and no visitation will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
