MR SHAWN SINGLETON

MR. SHAWN SINGLETON {34} was born July 26, 1983 and departed this life Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was the son of Michelle Singleton of Conway, SC and the late Wallace Gibbs, Jr. Shawn attended public schools in Newark, NJ and later in Columbus, OH. He later moved to Conway, SC in 2003 to live with his mother and resided there until his demise. He was a peoples person who didn't meet any strangers. He had a love for all those he was surrounded by and a deep love for his family. As a child, Shawn loved playing basketball in the house with his brother and uncles. He had a special love for sports. Shawn was preceded in death by family members that was very dear to him: an aunt, Sandra Singleton, his grandmother, Annie Lee Singleton and his great-grandmother, Janie Gagum. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Michelle Singleton of Conway, SC and stepdad, David Leon Dixon of Conway, SC; one {1} brother, Rashon Singleton of Conway, SC; one {1} son, Tyson Keene; one {1} nephew, Zyree Singleton and one {1} niece, Za'Niquel Singleton both of Conway, SC; two {2} aunts, Johnnie Jean Koonch of Conway, SC and Jeanette Singleton of Newark, NJ; three {3} uncles, Sharif Singleton {Fatima} of Elizabeth, NJ, Rajon Singleton {Sylvia} of South Orange, NJ and Kasim Singleton {Rahmah} of East Orange, NJ; one {1} great-great aunt, Geneva Kinlaw of Conway, SC; six {6} great-aunts, Lucille Vereen of Bridgeport, CT, Carrie Nesmith of Philadelphia, PA, Mae Ellison of Martinburg, WV, Betty Frazier of Popka, FL, Bessie Mack of Union, NJ and Agatha Gagum of Conway, SC; one {1} great-uncle, Willie Gore of Conway, SC; three {3} stepsisters, Regina Huggins of Conway, SC, Davianna Huggins of North Carolina and Miracle McCall of Mullins, SC; one {1} stepbrother, Kendel of Washington State; a special Godmother, Brenda Rhue of Conway, SC; a special God-Brother, Robert Dowley of Conway, SC; a special friend, Grgory Telford of Conway, SC and a host of cousins and acquaintances. Shawn will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 05, 2017 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
