MR. LINDBERGH JOHNSON

MR. LINDBERGH JOHNSON, (87) of Myrtle Beach, SC entered eternal rest quietly, calmly and peacefully early Sunday morning, February 22, 2015 at his residence. He was the fourth {4th} child of twelve {12} children born to Mr. Jake and Mrs. Christine Johnson on November 03, 1927 in New Orleans, LA. His parents and all of his siblings preceeded him in death. He attended the public schools of New Orleans. Lindbergh loved baseball and had the opportunity to meet Satchel Paige as a boy. In his early years, he attended Macedonia Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA. Upon graduating from highschool, he entered the United States Air Force and retired in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mr. Lindbergh met and married the love and joy of his life, Louise whom he loved and adored. Along with his marriage came six {6} daughters, three {3} sons and two {2} son-in-laws who made him proud and happy. His loving wife, Louise went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2008. The skills he gained as a Dental Tech in the United States Air Force landed him a job when he retired. He really believed in working hard for a living. Mr. Lindberh really retired about four {4} years ago after his employment that included the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, NCO Club and Greens Beverage. Lindbergh Johnson was a faithful member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee for several years. He served as a Commissioner on the City of Myrtle Beach Election Commission. He was a Mason and Past Worship Master of Oceanview Lodge #325 PHA. He loved Jesus, his family and people. He leaves to cherish his memories six {6} daughters, Margaret {James} Love of Tampa FL, Rosiland {Isiah} Simmons, Cynthia McRae, Cheryl {Anthony} Tyler, Katherine {Thomas} Burrell and Barbara {Neicy} McRae all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Louie {Ida} McRae of San Diego, CA; a special cousin, Mamie Lewis of New Orleans; six {6} grandchildren and one {1} great~grandson; a longtime and true friend, Deacon Harry Ross and a host of neices, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
