MR. JOHNGTON PAGE

JOHNGTON PAGE, {75} entered into eternal rest on Monday,September 25, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Mr.John or “Jolly” as he was lovingly known, was born in Pawley’s Island, SC on October 29, 1941 to Harvey and Mazie Young Page. John received his education in the Georgetown County Public School system. At an early age he accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. John left Pawley’s Island, SC to join the Merchant Marines in Savannah, GA. After John left the Merchant Marines, he moved to Jacksonville, FL and worked for the school system where he retired on October 30, 2002. John moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and joined the Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Mass Choir, Trustee Board and drove the church vans when needed. He was a faithful member until his death. John had a kind heart and was always helpful to anyone. He would never turn anyone down for anything and was someone you could always depend on. Along with his parents, one brother: Sylvester Harvey Page preceded him in death. John leaves loved ones who will always cherish his memories a daughter, Mazie Page of Hampton, VA; a son, Jonathan Page, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; one {1} grandson: Zachary Hutchinson of Atlanta, GA; one {1} faithful, devoted and loving sister, Lucille Simmons of Myrtle Beach, SC and one {1} loving sister-in-law, Claudia “Bell” Page. John raised a niece and a nephew as if they were his own Nizareya and Nizon Simmons. He also leaves behind close friends: Howard Meyers, Kirk Nelson, Dwight Ross and Bobbie Young along with other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 3:00 ~ 6:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2017 at Ocean View Williams Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Homes Williams Memorial Chapel.
