REV. CORNELIUS {JUJU} AUSTIN

REV. CORNELIUS {JUJU} AUSTIN, {74} was born March 19, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. He served in the United States Army for twenty~two years and seven months {22.7} years and retired as a First Sergeant. He also served for more than forty~five {45} years in Puget Sound {Pacific Northwest}Southern California, and Kansas NE {Mid-West} conferences of the 5th Episcopal District until his retiremen. In 2011 he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to be with his daughter and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents,  Rev. Cornelius Nathaniel and Mary Harris~Austin and his younger brother, Wellington Lee Austin. He leave to cherish his life his daughter, Patrizia Pulisifer {Gary} of South Carolina; son, Cornelius Austin, III of Wisconsin and six {6} grandchildren; Charline Lee {Ryan} of South Carolina, Ivy VanZaten of Texas; Tonya Gray, Jasmine Gray, Jayne Gray, all of South Carolina; and two {2} step~grandchildren, Jason Pulsifer ({Stephine} and Christina {Marcus} Taylor of South Carolina. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Austin~Gordon {Richard}, Arvella Austin~Strong {C. Jessel}, Rev. Noella Austin Buchanan {Rev. Morris-deceased}; mother~in~law, Diane K. Madddox; sisters~in~law, Debra Austin, Ann Andrea Maddox, Rev. Christy Miller and Kimberly Maddox; brother~in~law, Ronaldo Nicholson; aunt, Mrs. Ollie Morris, and seven {7} great~grandchildren. His special friend, Michelle Casey of Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, ministers and laymen of the AME Church. Rev. Austin interment will be at Levenworth National Cemetery on Friday, March 24, 2017. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at First AME Church in Kansas City, KS with the Rev V. Jones officiating. Arrangemnts are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC.
