MRS. ENID IVY BROWN

MRS. ENID IVY BROWN, {94} was born in the small Parish of St.Thomas Jamaica W.I on January 3,1925. Enid grew up on the beautiful Isle of Jamaica. In 1952, she married Albert Taylor, Sr. Her marriage produced four {4} children. She immigrated to the United States in 1968. She worked many years as a caregiver, in Philadelphia, PA the city of brotherly love. She exhibited kindness and dignity to those she cared for. She remarried in 1989, to Vincent Brown in a ceremony including fire trucks and grandchildren. She lived many years in Philadelphia and retired to Deltona, FL for a time. She has spent the last few years of her life with family here in South Carolina. She was stern but loving mother and grandmother. She was proud of the many achievements of her children and grandchildren. She was talkative and loved to share the latest news of the family with those that would listen. It was her family that gave her peace in her later years.

Enid was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Taylor,Sr and second husband Vincent Brown.

On Monday, April 29,2019 Enid went peacefully home to be with the Lord at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, at the age of ninety-four years old {94}. She will be remembered by her four {4} children and their spouses: Albert and Sylvia Taylor, Fitzroy and Lisa Taylor, Randi Irwin, David and Patricia Brown, and Candace Taylor.

She is also survived by fourteen {14} grandchildren and their spouses: Jacqueline and Royston Dowden, The Honorable Elizabeth S. Morris and Damon Morris, Lam and Chante Hutton, Tahoe Robinson, Tiffany and Matt Roberts, Ryan Taylor, Lateef and Taneria Robinson, Jamaal Robinson, Ashley Taylor, Troy Taylor, Brittney Taylor, Malcom Lamirault, Richard Irwin, Corey Taylor, and Jasmine Lamirault; numerous great-grandchildren and friends and family in the United States, Jamaica and United Kingdom.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 06, 2019 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Visitation will be held one {1} hour prior to Funeral Services at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Beach Chapel.

  • My mom is now in heaven with her loved ones and no longer in pain. I love you mom and know you are taking charge of the family members up there. RIP until we meet again. God bless
