MRS. ROSIE LEE OWENS

MRS. ROSIE LEE OWENS, {94} Death plucked a flower from our Garden on Wednesday night, June 20, 2018 and Rosie Lee Owens was called from earth to Heaven’s reward. She was the daughter of Jack and Bobbie Jean Bessent born on July 22, 1923 in little River, SC. She attended Saint Paul AME Black School of Little River, SC. Rosie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Calvary #2 Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Myrtle Beach, SC she joined Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. 

In 1944, she married James Owens who preceded her in death. She had seven {7} sisters and two {2} brothers that also preceded her in death. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

The memories of her will always be dear to our hearts.

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Homes Myrtle Beach Chapel.

  • Aunt Rosie was always SO sweet and friendly. Although, I did not see her often, but every time we saw each other we always picked up where we left off. God is the same, yesterday, today and forever! I pray your soul is at peace and you’re safe and sound in the arms of your Heavenly Father.

  • Mrs. Owens was a beautiful person. She was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. My deepest condolences to her family. May our Heavenly Father hear the prayers of your heart and comfort you during this difficult time.

  • the sweetest lady in the world,as fond memories of her keeping me as child on dunbar st, was called mcleans apts back then..her smile ,she sure could make u laugh and feel right at home,i spent more time as child to her house than my very own house,i loved spending time with her,such a wonderful lady,i never forget her and even as a full grown man,i still have great love for her even to this day,i know she will be missed by many,the heavens couldnt have gain a better angel with mercy and love….
