MRS. ROSHELLE “MARLENE”McCRAY-JOHNSON, {57} was born the daughter of Josie Mae Dingle-McCray and Henry Lee McCray on September 23, 1962 and departed this life on June 7th, 2019 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
Rochelle was reared in Horry County Schools and was employed at Racepath Community Center. She became a member of Greater True Light Sounds of Praise Ministries in Myrtle Beach, SC when she accepted Christ into her life as her Lord and Savior.

Roshelle was a loving, kindhearted, friendly, generous person who loved to laugh and dance. She was the life of the party, bringing smiles and joy to everyone’s face. She enjoyed her life with her family and friends. Her love for her grandchildren was unconditional. She loved them with all her heart.

Roshelle leaves to cherish her fond memories her husband, Ralph Johnson; her mother, Josie Mae Dingle McCray of Myrtle Beach, SC; her father, Henry Lee McCray and stepmother, Bernice McCray of Conway, SC; six {6} sons, Reginald McCray, Antonio McCray {Michelle Burroughs-McCray}, Ashley McCray {Raquel Graham-McCray}, Eric Johnson {Queshaun Barr-Johnson}, Desmond McCray {Jessica} all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Justin McCray of Charlotte, NC; one {1} daughter, Sheona McCray {Isha}; one {1} stepson, Rapheal Cox Johnson; mother-in-law, Sarah Johnson; two {2} sisters, Maxine Scott-McCray {Tom Earl} of Myrtle Beach, SC and Nicole Little; three {3} brothers, Henry McCray and Perry McCray both of Myrtle Beach, SC and Chuck McCray of Mullins, SC; two {2} sisters-in-law, Monique Johnson and Gwen Johnson both of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Tyshik Vaughn, Aniya Frazier, Timothy Johnson {her baby}, Desmond McCray “Dezzy”, Amya McCray, Amil McCray, Emory Johnson, Simon McCray and Samiria McCray; three {3} aunts; four {4} uncles; nieces, Shamekia McCray of Myrtle Beach, SC and Ebony Austin of Charlotte, NC; cousins, Valarie McCray of Charlotte, NC, Ceann McCray and Stephanie McCray both of Myrtle Beach, SC; special friend, Teresa “Bunny” Nelson and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 14, 2019 at True Light Sounds of Praise. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2019 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
