MRS. PANDORA PIPPEN HERRIOTT, {87} was born June 12, 1931 to Richard and Ellen Winstead Pippen in Tarboro, NC. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Herriott, her daughter, Jacqueline Herriott-Smith, two {2} sisters, eight {8} brothers and one {1} grandson.
She graduated from Edgecomb County Schools and attended Fayetteville State University for two {2} years studying nursing. She moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in her early twenties {20’s} to be with her now deceased sister, Lossie B. Lewis. She worked in healthcare for a short period of time, and later began working at Belk’s Department store as a sales coordinator for over thirty {30} years.
Pandora served her community and church, Sandy Grove for over fifty {50} years in the following capacities: Sunday School Teacher, Senior Missionary, YWA Advisor, and Girl Scout Troop #288 Leader for over sixteen years.
She is survived by her four {4} grandchildren, Consuela Herriott, Mark {Shavonne} Herriott, Claudria {Everett} Sumpter all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jason Herriott of Florence, SC; eight {8} great-grandchildren; one {1} sister, Francis P. Allen {Marshall} of Norfolk, VA; three {3} brothers-in-law, Fred {Coletha} Herriott of Charleston, SC, Ben {Betty} Herriott of Myrtle Beach, SC, Gretrude Pippen of Chesapeake, VA;  three {3} sisters-in-law, Hazel Herriott of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rebecca Young of Columbus, OH and Viola Beaufort of Melbourne, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends far and near.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
