MRS. MABLE LEE DENNISON, (92) On Wednesday, June 25, 2014, God picked a flower from His beautiful bouquet. Mrs. Mable was born in Albany, GA to the late Mr. Wesley and Mrs. Ollie Porter on June 16, 1922. She was reared in Tabor City, NC by a loving aunt the late Mrs. Mattie Brown. She attended school in Tabor City, NC. She later relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC where she worked as a cook and a household technician most of her life. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Arrington “Spank” Dennison. Their union was blessed with four (4) children. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She became a member of Mt. Olive AME Church and served as an Usher and Senior Choir member prior to her failing health. During her free time she loved quilting and putting together large puzzles. She leaves to cherish her memory one (1) son, Thomas Dennison of Palmer Park, MD; three (3) daughters, Nancy Austin of Myrtle Beach, SC, Martha (Hamp) Pitts of Roxbury, MA and Priscilla Ann Pickett of Myrtle Beach, SC; two (2) grandchildren reared in the home Arrington (Portia) Dennison and Narada Pickett; six (6) grandchildren; fourteen (14) great-grandchildren; two (2) special friends Ida Bell Wilson and Peggy Allen; a special niece, Fannie Mae Carr and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, June 30, 2014 at Mt. Olive AME Church. Internment will follow at Pine Island Community Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
