MRS. LOTTIE GORE {93} “Beyond the sunset there is hope for a brighter tomorrow; Beyond the sunset there is healing for a heavy heart; Beyond the sunset…there is peace in the arms of Jesus.” Mrs. Lottie Mae Gore was born on June 03, 1926 and raised in Kershaw County by an uncle and aunt, Thomas and Phyllis Hart. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Compass Nursing Center in Conway, SC. She attended public schools in the Charlotte area and eventually moved to Horry County where she met and married Lishus Gore on September 19, 1954. This union was blessed with two {2} children. “Lottie” later joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her illness. She served as a member of the Missionary and Senior Choir. She was also a member of the New Hope Chapter of the Order of Eastern Stars for twenty~seven {27} years. Several relatives preceded her in death: her loving husband, Lishus; two {2} sons, Rufus and Raphael; three {3} brothers~in~law, Thelton, DL and Raymond; four{4} sisters~in~law, Johnnie Mae, Thelma, Sadie and Leola. Her loving memories will be cherished by her sons, Alton Gore {Kerri~finance’} of Myrtle Beach, SC and Rev. Douglas Gore {Janice} of Germantown, MD; one {1} sister~in~law, Linda Gore of Little River, SC; one {1} brother~in~law, Fred Ford; ten {10} grandchildren; twenty~five {25} great~grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the home of the late Thelton and Jennie Mae Gore at 2501 Highway 111 Little River, SC. Visitation will be held 5:00 ~ 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Little River, SC. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
