MRS. JANIE VERA BARR, {76} ” He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.” Psalm 91.1  Dear Heavenly Father, Today we bow in humble submission to thank you for having a young baby girl, Evangelist Janie Vera Cole-Barr, born to the late Robert Cole and the late Mamie Jackson Cole-Wall and the late  Anderson Wall, Sr. on October 13, 1941 in Cheraw, SC. We thank you for giving her the desire to unite herself with the Christian Family at the Way of The Cross Deliverance Worship Center of Conway, SC where she retained her membership until her death. We thank you that she had the desire and saw the need to prepare herself educationally by attending the following institutions: Tomlinson High School in Kingstree, SC, Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, FL where she received an Associate of Religious Arts, Biblical Studies and Revelation Message Bible College in Jacksonville, FL where she obtained the Bachelor of Religious Arts in Christian Education. Evangelist Barr received the Certificate of Ordination in 2003. We thank you for giving her the inspiration to work in the public schools of Miami, FL where she spent most of her adult life. She showed her concern and love for others while being employed at Jackson Memorial and Boca Raton Community Hospitals. We thank you that she grew up into womanhood and united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Theodore Roosevelt Barr. We thank God, that He blessed their marriage with one {1} child, Mrs. Ramona Barr-Chandler whom preceded them in death. Those who will always cherish her memories are: her dog, “Teddy” of the home; son-in-law, Casey Chandler of Miami, FL; two {2} brothers, Cornelius {Janie} Cole, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA and James {Mary} Anderson “Donnie Wall” of Kingstree, SC; two {2} sisters, Mary C. Willis, Debra Wall {Ernest} Rodgers; two {2} sisters-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Wall and Mrs. Lou Dell Barr of Kingstree, SC; one {1} aunt, Mrs. Nettie Fulton; adoptive children that she loved as her own: Viviana, Ashley, Jessilee Batista, Jayme Batista and Noah Morgan of Conway, SC; Her Caretaker, Sarah Taylor of the home; one {1} special friend, Ms. Debora Benning; a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. We pause today to thank God that He has blessed us with this wonderful Servant of God, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt until her passing on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Conway Medical Center and joined the Heavenly Host, her husband, daughter, mother, father, step-father, sister and two {2} brothers. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Way of the Cross Church.  Visitation will be held one {1} hour prior to Funeral Services at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
