MRS. IRIS W. COOPER {age 75}, departed from this life peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the home she shared with her husband Herman and granddaughter Jessica in Conway, SC.

Iris Cooper was the daughter of the late Mr. William Ralph and Mrs. Georgeanna Davis-Woods. She was born to them on September 13th, 1942 in Winston Salem, NC. She is predeceased by two {2} brothers, Mr. Carl Stevenson and Mr. William L. Woods, her only sister, Ms. Nancy Brailey, and one {1} grandchild, William H. Cooper, Jr.

Iris grew up in the city of Winston Salem where she attended Adkins High School. After graduating, she got married and moved to New Haven, CT. While in Connecticut, she worked at the National Linen Service. Later in life she and her husband moved back to Winston Salem, NC where she worked for RJ Reynolds until she decided to slow down a bit. She then continued working but as a Domestic Housekeeper until her health would not allow her to continue.

While growing in Winston Salem, NC she attended the family church of Zion Memorial Baptist Church. She joined at a young age and served as a choir member there until her health would not allow her to continue.

Her memory will be cherished by her devoted husband of fifty-six {56} years Herman Cooper of the home; one {1}brother, Roosevelt {Gladys} Stephenson; one {1} sister in-law, Annie Clark {New Haven, CT}; one {1} son, William H. Cooper, Sr. {Las Vegas, NV}; one {1} special “adopted” daughter, Vanessa {Angelo} Keyes {Kinston, NC; eight {8} grandchildren, Jessica {Clyde} Reed of the home, Natasha Cooper, Iris Cooper, Veronica Cooper-Tucker, Angelo {AJ} Cooper, Carolyn Cooper, Gianna Cooper and Matthew Cooper {Las Vegas, NV}; two {2}“adopted” grandsons, Angelo Keyes, Jr. {Winston Salem, NC} and Denzel Keyes {Greensboro, NC}; two {2} great-grandchildren, Cadence Cooper {Las Vegas, NV} and Journee Reed of the home and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.  Visitation will be held one {1} hour prior to Funeral Services.  Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
