MOTHER EVELYN COOPER, {86} On Friday, January 12, 2018 Mother Evelyn H. Cooper was called from labor to reward 1 0’clock AM peacefully at The Embrace Hospice House Myrtle Beach SC.

Mother Evelyn Cooper better known as “Evalina” and  “Noona” was the daughter of the later Lular and Arthur Corbitt She was born December 9, 1931 in Myrtle Beach SC. Her education was obtain in Horry County and she later received her nursing degree. Afterwards, she worked as a CNA at Ocean View Memorial Hospital for many years and retired from Grand Strand Hospital. She continued nursing as a private care-giver for many people in Myrtle Beach SC.

Mother Cooper was united In holy matrimony to the late Phillip Samuel Cooper on February 14, 1948. This union was blessed with nine {9} children; two {2} proceeded her in death, Minister Charlene Keith and Samuel Lee Cooper; as well as one {1}sister Ida Nesbit.

Mother Cooper was saved sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire at Shield’s Chapel FBH Church in 1959. Mother Cooper served on the Mother Board {Chairperson}, Usher Board and {President} of the Senior Choir. Mother Cooper had a passion for singing and loved to sing with her best friend, Mother Albertha Washington.

She leaves to cherish her last memories, Lular D {Jerome} Gamble, Ernest Cooper, Paul Cooper {Pastor Vanessa Cooper}, Phillip Cooper, George Cooper, Teresa Cooper {Tyrone Lisbon}, Magolina Brown all of Myrtle Beach, SC,: one {1} sister, Nellie Hardy of Chicago, Il;, one {1} son~ in~ law, Clifford Keith of Myrtle Beach, SC; twenty~four {24}  grandchildren; forty~five {45} great~grandchildren; eight {8} great~great~grandchildren,; two {2} special adopted grandchildren, Nikki and Emmanuel Lewis; special friends, Rev. Frances Pennington, Rev. Lillie Mae Grissett and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Shields Chapel FBH Church.  Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
