MRS. CARRIE LEE “SUSAN” MYERS

MRS. CARRIE LEE “SUSAN” MYERS, {81} was born November 28, 1936 in the Woodland Community of Georgetown, SC to the martial union of the late Mr. Tula Deas and Mrs. Susan Ladson-Deas. On Saturday morning,  March 17, 2018 God called one of His angel’s home to rest. Carrie received her education in the Georgetown County School System and later began working in Myrtle Beach, SC as a cook, housekeeper, and many other various trades. Carrie joined Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Mt. Zion AME Church. Carrie enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing to music, and spending time with her family and friends. The marital union between Carrie Le Deas and Ellis Myers affectionately  known as “L.D.” Myers produced nine {9} children. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Myers; three {3} sisters, Gertude Davis, Aletha McGirt both of Georgetown, SC and Mary Deas-Faser of Andrews, SC; six {6} brothers, John Henry Ladson, Frank Deas, Calvin Deas, Thomas Deas, Dan Ladson and Timothy Deas; one {1} daughter, Geneva {Eugene} Johnson of Bronx, NY. Loving memories of Carrie are cherished by her children: two {2} daughters, Bertha Lee {James} Blain and Ollie Sinclair both of Myrtle Beach, SC; six {6} sons, Leroy Myers, Luther {Helen} Myers, Sr., Van {Rosalee} Myers, Levern {Mina} Myers, Willie {Dina} Myers all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Franklin {Nadine} Myers, Sr. of Dinwiddie, VA; one sister, Eula Mae {Richard Sr.} Linen of Georgetown, SC; three {3} brother-in-laws, Richard Linen {Eula}, Herman {Maude} Knox and Morris {Rosena} Myers; three {3} sister-in-laws, Clara Ladson, Maude Knox and Rosena Myers; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Mt Zion AME Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
