MR. SAMUEL RICKY CHESTNUT

MR. SAMUEL RICKY CHESTNUT  {58} courageous spirit was released into the Heavens on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the young age of fifty-eight {58} years old. This astounding young man was born on February 28, 1960. He was the son of the late Emanuel and Mae Chestnut. He was known for his laughter and everlasting smile. He was one of the biggest Pittsburg Steelers fans ever.

Samuel {Ricky} Chestnut was a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School, Myrtle Beach, SC and afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a great single-parent to Kyanna & DeSean Washington of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Andre Foxworth. His Christian values were imbedded at a young age by his parents, teachers, The Harlem Community and Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Samuel {Ricky} Chestnut was devoted to his work at Island Vista for over twenty-nine {29} years. The Ambassador of Smiles, he was called in Cypress Room. There he articulated his incredible passion for touching family, friends, and visitors of Island Vista.

Samuel {Ricky} Chestnut was preceded in death by his parents, Mae and Emanuel Chestnut; his sisters, Barbara Ann, Sara Chestnut and Emily Washington; nephews, Dewon Chestnut, and Robert McNeil; nieces, Meredith Bell and Regina Chestnut.

To cherish his memory he leaves three {3} remarkable children, Kyanna & DeSean Washington of Myrtle Beach, SC and Andre Foxworth; his grandchildren, Raja & Ruanni Johnson; his siblings, Marie Dentson of Flordia, Mary {Elmer} Pettis of Atlanta, GA; Emanuel Chestnut, Jr. {Deborah} of Suffolk, VA; Bertha {Rickie} Sherman, Sr of Conway, SC, Ella Mae Moore, Ervin Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister-cousin, Dorothy Butler of Burgess, SC; two {2} aunts, Edna & Mary McNeil of Charleston, SC; nieces, Cynthia & Crystal Denston of Florida, Constance {Roscoe} of Burgess, SC, Millicent Greene; nephews, Armando & Ramando Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC,  Christopher, Keith {Kristy}, Kevin Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC, Richard Chestnut, Keeshia, Sean, Jamal Pettis of Georgia, Lucas Chestnut of Kentucky, Tonya {Cody} Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC, Terrence Wynn of Virginia, Steven Chestnut of Japan, Ashley Chestnut of California, Solvia {Bernard} Jackson, Christian Sherman of Conway, SC, Rickie Sherman, Jr. of Berkley, CA, Tashika Alston, Isaiah & Brian Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC; along with a host of other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, June 01, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 02, 2018 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
