MR. ROLAND JUNIOR VEREEN, {64} son of the late Roland and Pearline Vereen was born September 15, 1953 and departed his life on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his residence. 

He was preceded in death by two {2} daughters, Kizzie and DeWanda Ford and one {1} son, Brian Ford. 

“Pont” as he was called attended the Horry County Public Schools. He was employed by Eugene Platt Seafood as a Fisherman for many years. He realized this day would come, therefore, he was converted and joined Freemont Missionary Baptist Church. 

Roland leaves to cherish loving memories a loving and devoted wife Samantha McCray-Vereen of the residence; two {2} daughters, Lafillia Ford and Elizabeth Daniels both of Long, SC; one adopted son, Anthony {Karen} Nealy of Longs, SC;  one grandson reared as his own, Dale Ford of Longs, SC; mother-in-law, Francis Johnson of Trenton, NJ; two sisters, Nora {Gerald} Knox and Janice Moody both of Long, SC; two {2} brothers, Ronnie {Merline} Vereen of Tabor City, NC and Linford Vereen of Longs, SC; one {1} aunt, Annie Gore of Wampee, SC; two {2} uncles, S.J. Bellamy and Benny Vereen both of Longs, SC; one {1} sister-in-law, Angie Donaldson of Atlanta, GA; two brothers-in-law, Larry {Cheryl} McCray of Orlando, FL and Benny McCray of Trenton, NJ; four {4} grandchildren, Camella Bellamy, Katoria Ford, Dorshell Wilson and Levious Hayes all of Longs, SC; eight {8} great-grandchildren, JaWallace, Dakale, Conyzhia, Jasaun, JaQuan, Zykem, Brendon and Chasity all of Longs, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, July 20, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Freemont Missionary Baptist Church, Longs SC.  Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
