MR. LESTER SIMS, {58} was born March 29, 1960 to Sallie Fullard-Sims and the late Joe Louis Sims. He graduated from Sumter High School with the Class of 1978 and enlisted in the United States Army thereafter. He departed this on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

He served his Country in the United States Army and was discharged honorably. His military decorations include: Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Marksman Badge with M-16 Rifle Bar and Expert Badge with Hand Grenade Bar.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Louis Sims and his sister, JoAnn Richardson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Pamela Johnson-Sims; his loving mother, Sallie Fullard-Sims; three {3} daughters, Rashita {Carlos} Sims-DeLoach, Ebony LeCount and Ebony Bryant; one {1} granddaughter, Janiel Norman; siblings, Marjorie Sims, Heremineo {late George} Wright, Rebecca {Ricky} Robinson, Sandra {Angelo} Johnson, Betty Lou Sims and Rochelle Sims. one {1} brother, Larry {Ann} Fullard; brother-in-law, Navin Johnson; sisters-in-laws, Andriane {Danny} Thompson, Tenisha {Chris} Collins, Teresa {Craig} Johnson, Dana Bullitt, Melissa Johnson, Carmela {late Emmett} Head, Helen {Daryl} Jenkins, Jozette Young and Ingrid {Shearief} Love; father-in-law, Raymond { Felecia} Johnson; one {1} aunt, Alberta Sims; a brother-like friend, Leonard Parham and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.  Interment will follow at 2:00 PM with Military Rites at Florence National Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
