MR. LAVERN WEAVER

MR. LAVERN WEAVER, {71} was born November 10, 1947 to Marie Jackson Weaver and the late Dearwood Weaver and was raised by Hinson & Sylvia Jackson in Georgetown County. He departed this life on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Compass Post Acute Rehabilitation in Conway, South Carolina. He was born in Horry County, South Carolina.

“Vern” as he was affectionately called, was a longtime resident of Virginia and Florida. He attended Georgetown Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Williams on November 5, 1969. He was a long distance and local truck driver for thirty-two {32} years. He was also owner and operator of his own Lawn Service for many years.

LaVern leaves to forever cherish his precious memories: his wife of forty-nine {49} years Jacqueline “Jackie” Weaver; four {4} daughters, Rachel Williams of Bucksport, SC, Demetra Weaver of Melbourne, FL, Rondreau Weaver and Keisha Weaver both of Cocoa, FL; two {2} sons, Willie Terrell {Mae} Weaver of Melbourne, FL and LaVern Weaver, Jr. of Richmond, VA; his mother, Marie Weaver of Richmond, VA; two {2} sisters, Janette Vance of Hemingway, SC and Essie Jackson of Richmond, VA; one {1} brother, John W. Weaver of Richmond, VA; mother-in-law, Mary McCray-Hicks and father-in-law, Thomas Hicks of Bucksport, SC; thirteen {13} sisters-in-law, Frances Weaver of Hemingway, SC, Rita Weaver of Bridgeport, CT, and Stephanie Weaver of Melbourne, FL, Carolyn Henry and Gayle Howard both of Bucksport, SC, Patrienna {Charlie} Greene of Jacksonville, FL, Ann Hicks of Hemingway, SC, Dorothy Hicks, Brooklyn, NY, Gardenia {James} McCray of Hemingway, SC, Theopia {Isaac} Goss, of Hemingway, SC, Trudell {Tyrone} Dease, of Hemingway, SC, Vicky {Randy} Hunt, of Bucksport, SC, Nichelle Tucker and Diana Hicks of Conway, SC; six {6} brothers-in-laws, Oliver Ancrum of Philadelphia, PA, Clyde {Lizzie} McCray of Bucksport, SC, Sidney {Evelyn} McCray of Georgetown, SC, Leslie McCray of Bucksport, SC, Larry {Kim} McCray of Conway, SC and Reginald McCray of Delaware; one {1} aunt,  Lula Mae Simmons of Rockledge, FL; ten {10} grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; two {2} very special friends, Leonard Brown and Lew Hill of Palm Bay, FL and host of sorrowing relatives and friends.

Home Going Services will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Viewing will be held one {1} hour prior to Services. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
