MR. JAMES E. SMITH, {81} of Myrtle Beach, SC passed Monday, March 02, 2015 at 3:00 PM. God came in the room at Grand Strand Regional Hospital and whispered, “Peace Be Thine.” Mr. Smith was born in Greenville, SC on May 20, 1934 to the late Ms. Lily Bowens and Mr. Robert Burton. He attended Sterling High School. “SMITTY” as he was affectionly known joined the United States Airforce and retired after twenty {20} years of serving his Country. In 1972, he worked as a Firefighter and Fire Dispatcher in Myrtle Beach, SC until he retired in 1992. He loved and married the late Mrs. Juanita B Smith. He was preceded in death by brother, “Kingfish,” in addition to his wife and parents. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted children Tuesday Smith, Verniecia Smith, Theresa Bellamy, Detrick Smith, Virginia Brown, Misty Brown, Tony Brown and Larry Donell Bellamy all of Myrtle Beach, SC; his brother, Bobby Julius of Greenville, SC; his sister, “Tootsie” of Greenville, SC; his grandchildren, Tiara Holmes, Mimya Holmes, Derrell Holmes, Xavier Smith, Damarro Smith, Xavier Smith, Jr., Amare Brown, Zymere Smith, Mercedes Dennison, Treasure Harrison, Monty Harrison, Rashad Feaster, Oscar Bellamy, Martika Bellamy, Larry Bellamy, Jr., Lashawn Brown, Andre Pyatt, Jahmick Sinclair, Quanick Sinclair, Xavier Brown, Seyquoa Brown, Simone Smith all of Myrtle Beach, SC and Zakeem Bellamy; daughters-in-law, Sherika Gore-Smith and Marcherle Bellamy; brothers-in-law, Oscar Bellamy and Whalley Bellamy of New York; sister-in-law, Eleanor Gore; a very special friend, Ms. Janice Chestnut and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, March 06, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 07, 2015 Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
