MR. FLOYD “COOT” HOWARD, JR. {83} was born September 15, 1931 in Ft. Valley, GA to the late Floyd Howard, Sr. and Evie Howard. The family relocated to Miami, FL where he attended and graduated from Miami Public Schools. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and later worked in construction until his retirement. It was in Miami where he met the love of his life, Annie Alston of Myrtle Beach, SC in 1958. On January 27, 1959 they married and to this union three {3} children were born. Floyd was active and outgoing all of his days. He was very social and had a passion for people. Floyd stayed jazzed up and made a point of keeping up with the times. During retirement he enjoyed fishing and sports. He was a die~hard sports fan of football {Steelers} and basketball {Heat}. Floyd relocated from Miami to South Carolina in 2012 honoring the wishes of his wife of fifty~six {56} years to someday return home. Their happy ever~after ended June 05, 2015 when Floyd Howard, Jr. was called home. Floyd will be remembered for his kind soul, loving heart and warm smile. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Annie Howard of Marion, SC; three {3} sons, Floyd William {Felicia} Howard of Miami, FL, Calvin Howard of Atlanta, GA and Greg Howard of Marion, SC; one {1} daughter, Angie Howard of Marion, SC; one {1} brother, Don Howard of Miami, FL; seventeen {17} grandchildren; nineteen {19} great~grandchildren; two {2} nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC.
