MR. ERNEST HAROLD COOPER

MR. ERNEST HAROLD COOPER, {67} “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A  time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

MR. ERNEST HAROLD COOPER was the son of the late Evelyn H. Cooper and the late Phillip Samuel Cooper was born on April 04, 1951 in Horry County. He departed this earthly life on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was preceded in death by his  parents, and his siblings, Samuel Cooper and Minister Charleta Keith.

Ernest graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1971 and attended Denmark Technical College in Orangeburg, SC. He later found the desire to carry out the legacy of the family business, Cooper & Sons Landscape founded by his father, the late Mr. P.S. Cooper.

Until his health failed, you would always find Ernest riding throughout the Booker T. Washington community. It was nothing more exciting for him to stop and check on others, or lend a helping hand at Mt. Oliver African Methodist Episcopal Church. For many years he was a committed and very dedicated Trustee, and member of The Sons of All. He took much pride to standing and guarding the doors of the church rendering his service to the Lord on the Usher Board for many years. Helping people is what Ernest did!

Whenever someone said “GOLF” Ernest was ready to play. It wasn’t nothing to hear him say, “I’m going to play golf after church” or to participate in various golf tournaments throughout the community. Ernest would always show up with his team: Ike, Donnell, Phil and Wayne.
