DEACON RUDOLPH “RUDY” STAFFORD, {52} was the son of Elvira and Joseph Johnson of Huger, SC. He was born on September 19, 1965. His life expired on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC with his family at his bedside.

He attended Cainhoy Elementary & High School; in Huger, SC. His passionate career was constructing drywalls. He spent more than forty {40}  years perfecting houses, churches, and hospitals in various areas. His career ended as a drywall finisher at The Bonitz in Myrtle Beach, SC. He also worked at Sky Signs in Bucksport, SC and Tupperware in Hemingway, SC. 

At an early age he served as a Junior Usher, and later gave his life to Christ and became a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. Several years he sung with Bucksport Male Choir, and Inspirational Choir.  He was ordained as a Deacon at Jerusalem Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in 2009. 

Rudy was preceded in death by two {2} brothers, Little Joe Johnson and William Heyward III; one {1} sister, Barbara Heyward. 

Rudy found his one true love, Vonzella Brown. They were united in Holy Matrimony on December 18th, 1999 and were blessed with two {2} beautiful daughters, Karnisha and Lakisha Brown of Conway, SC.

Rudy leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Elvira {Joseph} Johnson and William {Jane} Heyward, Jr. of Huger, SC; several siblings, Timothy {Sylvia} Johnson, Alexine Way, Hiawatha {David} Wickson, Huger, SC; Sebastian {Bessie} Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Lasker Johnson, Shekeya Washington of North Charleston, SC, Eljo {Michael} Towns of Ladson, SC, Elizabeth Gant of Johnsonville, FL, Jamie {Aprielle} Heyward and Randy Heyward of Charleston, SC, Brandon {Devonia} Heyward of Summerville, SC, Shawn {Josephine} Bess of Anderson, SC; aunts and uncles, Leroy {Clara} Stafford, The Church Fellowship Hall Alfonza Stafford, Lester {Vanessa} Stafford, Ventphis {Deloris} Stafford, Sr., Joyce {Mark} Watson, Huger, SC, Anthony {Sonya} Stafford of Moncks Corner, SC and Lorenzo {Evangelist Yolyndia} Smith of Charleston, SC; his special friends, Joe Lee, Raymond Linen, Raynard Linen, Mac Kinlaw, Minister Basil Walker, Tim Jordan, Matthew Huggins Jr., Lamont Williams, Councilman Harold Phillips, Deacon Joseph Nichols and Bernett McCray; along with many others he came in contact with.  

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, April 16, 2018 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.  Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel.
