MADAM ASHLEY FUNNYE

MADAM ASHLEY FUNNYE {6} “Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.” Ephesians 6:1  On Wednesday morning January 24, 2018, God sent an Angel from heaven to bring his beloved Angel {Pretty Girl} Ashley Janella Funnye home for everlasting rest. She will be remembered for her out going spirit, bubbly personality, and a smile that will light up a room.

Ashley Janella Funnye was born on June 20, 2011 into a big family with people who love, cherish, and protected her. Ashley was a brilliant child who used her creativity to shine light on everyone she knew. She enjoyed singing, coloring, going shopping, dress up and riding her scooter. 

Ashley was born to the late Anthony Funnye and Corenthia Montgomery both from Myrtle Beach, SC. Ashley was later blessed to live with her oldest sister, Felecia Herriott who gave nothing but love. Ashley attended Ocean Bay Elementary where she met her first teacher, Shannon Peterson one of her favorites. She then attended Carolina Forest Elementary with a new teacher and new friends that she dearly.

Ashley Janella Funnye leaves behind four {4} sisters, Nirubie Givens, Lencia Funnye, Shantell Mitchell and Felecia Herriott; one {1} brother, Sherdarrius Montgomery all of Myrtle Beach, SC;  four {4}  grandmothers, Minister Zelan Gore, Deloris Montgomery and Maryland Dozier and her MeMe, Sharon Funnye; two {2} grandfathers, Joseph Montgomery, Sr. and Melvin McCree; four {4} aunts, Londretta Nesmith, Ivenna Burroughs, Angela Montgomery, and Lisa Montgomery; seven {7} uncles, James {Price} Montgomery, Joseph Montgomery, Jr., Freddie Funnye, Theodore Funnye, Israel Herriott, James {Jimmy} Herriott, Jr., and Norbet Herriott; other special people in her life, Imunique Herriott, Jamerial Dozier, Marcel Bidges {Mr. E}, Velma {Beverly} Williams, Anthony Price and Tish {Patty-Cake}.

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2018 at Ocean View Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel.
